This website belongs to a research project which seeks to categorize current infohazards in order to best prevent possible future ones.

If you have encountered an infohazard which could be useful to study, send a detailed description of it to infohazards@pm.me, containing:

• Name
• Maximum potential for harm
• Source of origin, identifying details
• Description, including situations when the infohazard's harm arises or has the potential to arise, as well as mitigation steps

If you have encountered an infohazard which would normally not be suitable for study, but might in extreme circumstances, consider instead:

• Sending it encrypted, providing the encryption key, and the circumstances where its decryption and study would be warranted
• Sending it encrypted, outlining the circumstances where its use would be warranted, and outlining a computationally expensive method to undo the encryption. For instance, instead of providing an encryption key, you could provide a range in which the encryption key is (and the first few words of the encrypted message.)

For situations requiring a small degree of paranoia, use ROT13. For situations requiring a medium degree of paranoia, use PGP. For situations requiring a large degree of paranoia, do not send infohazards to random websites.

We are not at this time able to provide assistance to alleviate the harmful effects of infohazards.
